The Gift of a Time Capsule - September 14, 2011

We are all now in the portion of this adventure where we are where we are.....  Jen is in Macedonia and we are state side.  This portion of our adventure will last until the end of the school year.

It is a finite period of time.

How will she use her finite time of this great adventure?

What are we going to do with our time?

Jen is on her new track.  She will teach.  She will volunteer.  She will meet new people, new customs, new cultures, new thoughts, new traditions.  She will travel.  She may learn some Macedonian, maybe even some Albanian.  She will walk miles every day.

Oh my word, what will we do?

We are in sort of a time capsule opportunity.  It is a finite period of time different from hers, yet a time that is set a part and different from our normal state of affairs.  What do we want to accomplish  in our capsule of time while Jen is gone?  What do we want to “wow” her with when she returns?

We know she will lose weight eating the Mediterranean diet of the Macedonians and walking miles each day.  She will “wow” us with her new physique when she returns!
Come on Cass.....  let’s dig in and wow her with our diligence and dedication to that same goal while she is away!

What are our other goals while we are in the time capsule?

Sometimes in our journey of life we are given opportunities for the finite windows of opportunity.  How do we use our time capsules?  What do we unveil at the completion of our finitely timed opportunity?

What are you doing in your time capsule?
