Lots of new experiences and new strategies for Jen, obviously!
And that is also true for us on this side of the pond!
We are learning math as we calculate the time difference. We are also learning where in the world is there wifi? If my computer is with me and the time is right in Macedonia, then we can skype!
Thank you Applebee’s in York! We skyped during our lunch!
Thank you Chief Motel in McCook! We skyped at midnight as Jen arose at 7 am.
As you can see we are on a rural Nebraska road trip! And we have an eye out for McDonald’s and other wifi spots!
At wood, Kansas - we were out of luck! Well, patience is a virtue while looking for a wifi spot!
Heading back to Lincoln, where we can be spoiled by wifi and skype.
Oh my word.... why are there so many dead spots for wifi? The world is too big to not be made small by the invisible rays of our communication links!
This overseas experience is being made easier and much smoother by the technology that facilitates our communications that are luxuries grown to be necessities. I can hardly fathom how families and their students of Fulbright grants and other international programs and especially our servicemen and women managed to maintain their strength without this technology! These luxuries of communications have not even been with us a decade. I am thankful everyday that Jen is having this adventure now, not then.
