Providentially Provided - July 2011

Oh my Word,  the list of lists!

What all is needed...  what all needs to tended.... details....  arrangements...   and so the preparation begins.

Maybe it is easier to just start with some simple basics....  what vaccinations are needed? That is good place to start and enough for the time being.... what vaccinations are needed?

God is never far away.  God never places the things that you truly need very far away from your reach.  Yes, you may need to stretch a bit.  Yes, you may need to work at it a bit.  Yes, you may need to sacrifice from time to time.  But God will put next to you the tools you need.

And so it is with the beginning of this journey.

First were the vaccinations.  When the information arrived from the Fulbright program staff,  Jen  moved forward to schedule an appointment with her regular doctor.  Dr. Dziko’s appointment was scheduled.  Yes, Dziko.  Yes, she is from the Balkan region!   Providentially provided, Jen goes not only to get the vaccinations started but can ask about health care in general in the region.  Will Jen find a doctor in Macedonia  if needed?  What are the hospitals like?  Can prescriptions be filled in country?  Does Jen need to take all her prescriptions for 10 months with her?  What if she gets a sinus infection, are antibiotics available there?  Jen receives a hand to help her  prepare to leave this country with a leg up on understanding the health care in Macedonia and the Balkan region.  Providentially provided.

Oh my word, the doctor Jen has used for the past six years is natively from the Balkans.

And so it went, one detail after another - providentially provided.

Jen receives her assignment to South East European University, in Tetovo, Macedonia.

Providentially provided, Jen’s “boss” in Macedonia speaks English!  Oh my word, since she speaks neither Macedonian or Albanian this is a huge gift.   In fact, Jen’s “boss” has family living in Gretna, Nebraska!  Oh my word, a midwestern connection!  Housing will be available for Jen on the campus. Providentially provided.  Skopje, the Macedonian capital, and airport is less than an hour from the campus and staff members go back and forth each day.  So, an escort when arriving in Skopje is provided, providentially.

And so goes the list making and detail finalizing...  one by one; providentially provided.

Right next to you, God has already placed tools and solutions to your needs.
